Our department’s focus on a broad swath of the non-Western world puts us in a position to share worldviews and traditions of literature, 文化, thought and artistic expression developed by civilizations in premodern, 现代和当代南亚, 东亚, 北非和中东.
The department offers a Bachelor’s–Accelerated Master’s degree program, 文学硕士, dual MAs and a 哲学博士 in Asian languages and civilizations with specializations in Chinese or Japanese.
